(Stolen from ancient Chinese,
Japanese, Greek, Indian, Arab and Egyptian treasuries) Marriage If your father is poor, it is your bad luck! But if your father-in-law is poor you are stupid. A successful husband is one who can earn more money than his wife can spend; A successful wife is one who can find such a husband. Marriages are made in heaven; so also is thunder and lightening. (B. Shaw) First year after marriage the husband talks and the wife listens. Second year after the
marriage the wife talks and the husband listens, There on, both will talk and the
neighbors listen. Honeymoon is a vacation a man takes, before beginning work under a new boss. A wife is one who stands by you in times of trouble, you wouldn't have had, if you hadn't married her in the first place. Don't marry for money. You can borrow it cheaper! I am lucky, that I am not born as a man, for, then I had to marry a women. (madam Cama) When trouble strikes take it like a man; leave it to your wife. Men make laws; Women make manners. Being trusted by your spouse is a bigger compliment than being loved. When a girl says no it means may be; when she says maybe it means yes; a girl can never say yes, for if she does, sheceases to be a girl. Honeymoons are shorter periods of adjustment; marriages are longer ones. No women ever told a man he is talking too much, when he is telling how wonderful she is. One of the problems in having an hourglass figure is that the sands of time always end up in the lower half. Marriages are made in heaven and broken in Reno, California. If you can hold hands and your tongue, that's love. Keep on being as polite to your spouse as you are for your best friend; that is the secret of a long married life. Women thy name is jealousy. (Shakespeare). A good wife never makes her husband to do dishes alone. Yes, God did make man first; don't we all make a rough draft before we make the finished product. It is those who have tried it most frequently, who are convinced that marriage is a failure. A woman's work that is never done is most likely what she asked her husband to do. Nothing flatters a man as much as the happiness of his wife; he is always proud of himself as the source of it. When he is born everybody thinks about his mother; when marrying about his bride; when dying about his widow. If women's intuition is so good, how come they ask so many questions. Commonsense would avoid many divorces and also quite a number of marriages. If you are losing an argument with your wife; tell her how wonderful she is. If a married couple does not quarrel; they miss all fun of making up. Some men marry for looks; but not the kind they get when they come home late for dinner. No married man can understand what a bachelor does with his money. Management Every man will rise to his level of incompetence. (Parkinson) In management, success is 'knowing the Cutlery management: Spoon for the boss; knife for the peer and fork for the subordinate. Your 'I will' is more valued than your "IQ". The haves and have-nots can be usually traced to dids and did-nots. (Disraeli) An error gracefully acknowledged is a victory won. (Socrates) Nothing is impossible for those, who don't have to do it themselves. Everything is required on yesterday basis in this bloody place; so if you need something urgently today, come tomorrow. It is not important how long you live but how; It is not important how you manage but how long. People who are wrapped in themselves make very small packages. Try to fix mistakes - not to blame. The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people said you couldn't. (Plato). Ideas are a lot more like children; our own always wonderful. Don't be content being average, Average is as close to the bottom as top. If the shoe fits wear it. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. A hero lives only once; but a coward dies many a times. (Plato). Accepting responsibility is accepting challenge. Leadership Better than being head of an organization, is being the heart of it. Where all think alike, no one thinks too far. A man who rows the boat, usually will not have time to rock it. Bosses oscillate between two categories - mentors and tormentors; the swing depends upon the proximity to their position in the hierarchy. Today's leaders are not too sure whether people are following them or chasing them. A politician is a person who approaches every problem with an open mouth. Politicians are all the same anywhere in the world, they would promise to build harbors, even if there is no sea nearby. If you can not convince them; confuse them. No one is interested to hear, how many storms you weathered, but 'did you bring the ship in?' The higher you are placed; more humble you should be. The tough times don't last long. The tough ones do. A problem well defined is a problem half solved. (Socrates) You can not discover new oceans, unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.
The difference between the Boss and balls is that the former is one and latter are two. If it weren't for the last minute, nothing would get done. If none endeavors, there will be an end to discovery. (Plato) One thing worse than a quitter is, one who is afraid to begin. If everything seem to be going against you; remember aero-planes takeoff against wind; not with it. (Henry Ford). Obstacles are the things you see when you take your eyes off the goal. (Eike) The waves and winds are always in the side of the bravest navigator. (Franklin) When a diplomat says yes it means may be; when he says maybe it means no; a diplomat can never say no, for, if he does, he ceases to be a diplomat. A tree on mountain summit takes whatever weather brings; if it has any choice at all, is to put down its roots as deeply as possible. Don't allow your so-called shortcomings, to overshadow your achievements, progress and the thirst for knowledge. Character is not made in crisis. It is only exhibited. A pat on the back is, only few centimeters away from a kick on the butt. Politicians are a lot like ships; noisiest when carrying ballast or anchored. The marketing immunity of governments is similar, to that of major brands of washing powder. Nearly everybody can stand adversity; but if you want to test someone's character, give them power. Never quit because you have reached your goals; nothing receeds like success. Nothing in the world is fool proof as long as there is a fool. Few politicians die because of ideals; but a great many ideals die because of politicians. Vision You won't get ahead of anyone as long as you are trying to get even with him. Opportunities are often disguised as hard work, so most people won't recognize them. Nothing will ever be attempted, if all possible objections must be overcome first. A winner never quits, and a quitter never wins. When blind lead blind, both will fall into the ditch. When going gets tough, the tough gets going. The difference between stupidity and genius is that, the latter has its limits. In a kingdom of blind; a one eyed jack would rule as king. Vision sees through a problem; grit sees it through. If we see ourselves, as others see us, we'd probably deny it. Passion makes us feel; but never see clearly. Vision is the art of seeing things that are invisible. It is the highest form of self-respect to admit mistakes and to make amends to them. When the goal of a country is only pleasure and comfort, there is danger. Anger Every minute I am angry, I lose 60 seconds of my happiness. People who fly in a fit of rage, always make a bad landing. You can't save your face, If you lose your head. Swallowing pride has never choked anyone. Anger begins in folly and ends in repentance. Haste and rushes make all things insecure. The greatest remedy of anger is delay. Don't question God, for He may say 'If you are anxious for an answer, come up here'. It is far better to make people angry; than to make them ashamed. Anger is the stone cast into a wasp's nest. If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape a hundred days of sorrow. Anger hinders good counsel. Before flaring up at the faults of others, pause and count ten; of your own. Two wrongs will never make a right. Hot tempers cause arguments. But patience brings peace. Righteous indignation: your own wrath as opposed to the shocking bad temper of others. A person can win many an argument by avoiding them. Secret World will believe anything, when you whisper it. Someone hiding a secret, should also hide that he has something to hide. When you flee temptation, don't leave behind a forwarding address. If facts are against you argue the law. If the law is against you argue the facts. If both are against yell like hell. Think of doing the right things, instead of doing things rightly. The happiest misers are those who save up every friend they are able to make. Brevity is the soul of wit. You can fool all people sometime; some people all the time; but you can't fool your spouse and mom. If you resemble your photo in the passport, chances are that you are not wealthy enough to travel. Don't waste time regretting failures or others achievements. If you can not get people to listen to you any other way; tell them it is confidential. If you want to be miserable, hate somebody. Two wrongs are only the beginning. We can't be all shining examples; but we can at least twinkle a little. You are getting older, when you walk around a puddle instead of through it. Two can't live as cheaply as one - unless it's a flea and his dog. The secret of education is never to forget the possibility of greatness. A woman's idea of keeping a secret is to tell it to only one person at a time. A secret is what you ask someone else not to tell because you can't keep it. A secret is either not worth keeping or it's too good to keep. To be tactful is to let someone else do something you want done. Children & Mother Every bigot was once a child free of prejudice. Mother is not someone to lean on; but someone to make leaning unnecessary. Nothing makes it easier to resist temptation than a proper upbringing, a sound set of values and witnesses. Life isn't a bowl of cherries. It's a bunch of raisins - raisin' heck; raisin' kids; and raisin' bucks. If all children are good, from where do the anti-social elements stem from? Parenthood: the art of bringing up children without putting them down. A pushy mother is the next best thing to a good education. Children need love; especially when they do not deserve it. Best gifts a parent can give to children are education and upbringing. Children will be my teachers today. Teach a child how he would live and he will remember it throughout his life. A wise son makes his father happy; only a fool despises his mother. The object of teaching a child is to enable it to get along without a teacher. Patron: commonly a wretch who supports with insolence, and is paid with flattery. There may be some doubt as to who are the best people to have charge of children, but there can be no doubt that parents are the worst. (B. Shaw). God could not be everywhere; so he made mothers (Jewish Proverb). The future destiny of a child is always the work of a mother (Napoleon). The mother's heart is a child's schoolroom. Men are what their mothers made them. Mother is the name of the God in the lips and hearts of little children. Women become like their mothers; that is their fault; no man does - that is their tragedy. Years to a mother bring distress; but do not make her love the less. Blessed are the children of this nation because they shall inherit the national debt. In the old days, children were necessities and automobiles luxuries; now the roles are reversed. Luck Blessed are those who are meek; for they shall inherit the earth. A stout heart crushes ill luck. Lucky are those who have nothing to say; but keep on saying it. Luck may sometimes help; work always helps. No matter what scale you use; we never know the weight of another person's burden. The more hard working one is, the more luck he seems to have. They have luck and they have rights, who dare to defend them. Silence Use what talents you have. The woods will be silent if no bird sing, except those that sing best. He who does not understand your silence would not understand your argument or logic as well. Tact is the ability to shut your mouth before others want you to. Speech is silver. Silence is golden. Silence is the toughest argument to refute. The best thing you can do behind a person's back is to pat it. Silence is the safety zone of conversations. A good test for conversation - if you wouldn't write it down and sign it then don't say it. Think twice before you speak; especially if you intend to say what you think. Give every man your ear, but few your voice.(Socrates). No dog will howl, when hit with a bone. Empty vessel makes more noise. Silence is the perfect expression of scorn. Believe half of what you see; nothing of what you hear. Preach not because you have to say something; but rather you have something to say. Don't argue with a fool; people may know the difference. As a vessel is known by the sound whether it is cracked or not; so men are judged by their speech, if wise or foolish. There are a lot of people who never forget a kind deed; especially if they did it. The most skillful flattery is to let a person talk on and be a listener. If it is not right, Do not do it; If it is not true, Do not say it. Recipe for trouble: Believe in all what you hear and repeat it. Yawn: A silent shout. A man never becomes an orator; if he has anything to say. It is difficult for some persons to keep quiet, when they have nothing to say. Silence is the unbearable repartee. A yawn is poor manners; but it tells the speaker how you feel about his speech. It may be bad to talk when your mouth is full; but it isn't too good either when your head is empty. Faith Religion should be practiced rather than preached. What is Impossible for man is Himpossible for God. Faith is God at work. A man must have heaven in him before he has to be in heaven. The two signs of holiness - give and forgive. Some use their faith like a bus - ride on it while it goes their way. Oh Lord, help my words to be gracious and tender today, for I may have to eat them tomorrow. Treat others, just as you want others to treat you. Don't ask God for what you think is good; ask Him what He thinks is good for you. Those who can not forget are worse that those who can not remember. We are morally responsible for every wrong that we had the power to prevent. Don't pray unless you believe God will answer all your prayers. Give me wisdom or give me wealth; on second thoughts give me wisdom. People who can't forgive, are breaking a bridge they themselves have to travel soon. If people thanked God for all the good things, they wouldn't have time to complain about the bad. Forgive and forget; in that order. If you can not forgive then don't forget. Do you need proof of God? Does one light a torch to see the sun? When you treat a disease you may win or lose; when you treat a person, you always win. I am to be so busy today that I must spend more time than usual in prayer. And fear not them, that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear Him which can destroy both body and soul in fires of hell. God is not a cosmic bellboy for whom we can press a button to get things. Today I choose to work with God's purposes; not against them. In an ever changing world, may God's love embrace us today and throughout the New Year. If your day is hemmed with prayer, it is less likely to unravel. In spite of what God knows about us (and that is more than we know about ourselves), he loves us. If you can not believe in the invisible; you can not achieve the impossible. God tries you with a little to see what you'd do with a lot. Going to a worship doesn't make you a holy person; any more than going to a garage makes you a car. If you are not close to God as once you were, you need not wonder who it is moved. I know lord will help; but help me Lord, until you do help. Are your troubles causing you to lose your religion or use your religion. Lord will give you enough for your need; not for your greed. Religion is daily bread - not cake for special occasions. Dear God help me to rise; I can fall by myself. Those who deserve love least need it most. Prayer has saved my life; without it I should have been a lunatic long ago. (MK Gandhi). God helps those who feel themselves humbler than the dust down their feet. If I call not thee in my prayer; If I keep not thee in my heart; thy love for me still waits for my love. (Tagore). God does not give faith in advance; God gives enough faith for today. They who abandon God; will never be abandoned by God. When man finds his peace and resting-place in that invisible, invincible, intangible, inexpressible, unfathomable, then he has attained real peace. He who serves and pleases people with his eyes, mind, speech and deeds, attains a higher religion. God accepts the repentance of man till his last gasp of life. It is better in prayer to have a heart without words; than words without heart. A truly spoken word is most victorious in any undertaking. You remain with God and God will remain with you. Prayer is not asking; it is longing of the soul. Religion has not been tried and found wanting; rather found difficult and not tried. That which is given to us by circumstances, fortune, accident or chance can be taken away by some means; that which we have become is eternal. (Geetha). Walk softly; Speak tenderly; Pray fervently. Prayer of Christian wisdom: Oh lord grant me the serenity, Hard work There is no substitute for hard work. Luck may sometimes help; work always helps. It is only in the Oxford lexicon that 'Success' comes before hard 'Work'. Some people do anything for money! Even Work. The harder one works, the more luck one seems to have. No rulebook for success will work, if you don't. Never buy anything with a handle, it means work. Work killed none, rather worry kills multitudes. Never put off for tomorrow; what can be done today. Act as if it were impossible to fail. The trouble with work is that it is so daily. The real productive ups and downs are getting up in the morning and down to work. Nothing is really work unless one would rather do something else. Don't be afraid to take a big step if one is indicated. You can't cross the chasm in two small jumps. Perseverance If you sweat during peace, you will bleed less during war. A journey of thousand miles begins with a first step. Constant practice often excel even talent. (Cicero) Everything comes to those who wait, If they work while they wait. Start from nowhere and you will get there. If people only knew the pains behind my sculptures, they wouldn't call me a genius (Michael Angelo). Rome was not built in a day. It is easy to build a boy than mend a man. A butterfly counts not months but moments; but still has time enough (Tagore). Quality is never an accident. It always is a product of hard work, perseverance and wisdom. When it is dark enough, you can see the stars. Ask and it will be given unto you; seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be open unto you. Better an hour early, than a minute late. Also, better late than never. There is no gathering of roses without being pricked by thorns. Quality is getting things right the first time. To be able to love a butterfly; we must care for a few caterpillars. When you are in trouble, try to keep your chin up and your mouth shut. When you feel you just can't stand on your feet any longer; try a bended knee. Great achievements are made by people, who were content with small beginning. A man who removes mountains begins by carrying away small stones. (Chinese Proverb). A puritan is a person who pours righteous indignation into the wrong things. Labor makes known the true worth of a man as fire brings the perfume out of incense.
(Chinese Proverb). You have to do your own growing up no matter how tall your grandpa was. Failure Failure is the condiment that gives success its flavor. You may fall many times, but you are not a failure, till you blame someone else for the fall. When one door to happiness closes, the other opens; but often we look so long at the closed door, that we do not see the one that has been opened for us. Glory is not in never failing, but getting up every time you fail. (Edison) The God given difficulties of life are intended to make us better; not bitter. If at first you succeed, try hiding your astonishment. The Dictionary is the only place where 'Awards' go before 'Hard work'. If you are not failing; you are perhaps not venturing enough. Failure and suffering are two best coaches. Excuses are the nails used to build a house of failure. A misty morning does not signify a cloudy day. I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone. The quickest way to get undivided attention is to make a mistake. If you are unable to travel the road to success, at least refrain from scattering tacks along the way. A successful man lengthens his stride, when he discovers that the sign post has deceived him; the failed looks for a place to sit down. Who has not tasted what is bitter does not know what is sweet. (Chinese Proverb). No man is so insignificant as to be sure, his example can do no harm to others. Success You can't climb the ladder of success with hands in your pocket. Coming together is Beginning, Staying together is progress, Working together is Success. *When you succeed you don't have to explain anything. A proven way to success is to act on the advice you give to others. A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks that others throw at him. A more successful man is one who can keep that foundation firm, and still throw the remaining bricks back at others. Success hinges on a passion for excellence. (JFK) A successful husband is one who can earn more money than his wife can spend, A successful wife is one who can find such a husband. Success is relative, more success more relatives. A successful revolutionary is a Statesman, an unsuccessful a criminal. Nothing can succeed like success. Behind every successful man there is a woman, however behind every unsuccessful woman there are several men. It is not the medals, but the sense of participation count. The secret of success in life, is for a man to be ready when his opportunity calls. Success would be more attractive if successful men seemed happier. Many man can credit his success to the tact that he didn't have the advantage others had. Success is; to be able to carry money without spending it; to be able to bear injustice without retaliating; to be able to keep on the job until it is finished; to be able to do one's duty even when not watched; to be able to accept criticism without letting it whip you. Criticism To avoid criticism, do nothing, say nothing, be nothing. If you are not criticized; you are not doing much. It is better to light a candle, than cursing darkness. You will be remembered for two things; the problems you solved and the problems you created. Correct yourself and the world stands corrected. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Never throw mud, for you may miss the mark; but still have dirty hands. Someone who can laugh when things go wrong, has found somebody to blame for it. Speak well of your enemies; you made them. Constructive criticism is when your boss criticizes you. Destructive is when you criticize your boss. If you scatter thorns don't go bare footed. Great people are judged by the company they keep. Nature could not make us perfect. So it made the next best thing - blind to our faults. The only exercise some people get is to jump into conclusions. Friendship is like chinaware; fragile and rare; Once broken can be mended, but scratch will always prevail. Only a fool judges people by the presents they give him. Sometimes we are in the habit of felling a tree, when what is required may be just bending the weed. A dog barking at full moon does not tarnish the moonshine. People who invite trouble; always complain when it arrives. In speaking well of others you speak well of yourself. To make no mistake is not in the power of man; yet, from their errors and mistakes the wise learn further wisdom for the future. Often the apple of a parent's eye is a kid who is rotten to the core. Flattery is all right; If you don't inhale. Hunt for good points, in other people; remember they have to do the same in your case. How nice it would be if there were just something left these days that could honestly be called 'unmentionable'. Some people know a lot more than they tell. If you blame others for your failures; do you credit them for your successes? A faultless person is possible only in a faultless world. Anyone who expects everything to be letter-perfect never gets very far into the alphabet. Is there anything more embarrassing than barking up the wrong tree. Rare is a person who can weigh the faults of others without putting a thumb on the scale. It would be nice if we forget our troubles as easily as we forget our blessings. When it is impossible to change others; change yourself. No man deserves a vacation more than the one who just had one. Adversity is the state in which a man most easily becomes acquainted with himself, being especially free from admirers then. (Samuel Johnson) One who thinks there is no distinction between vice and virtue, count your spoons, when he leaves your house. Why criticize a person for talking about himself, when that may be the only subject which he is least uninformed. The modern girl's hair may look like a mop. Yet she doesn't know what a mop looks like. Human Mind Small minds discuss people, average minds discuss events, Great minds discuss ideas. It is far easier to conquer others than to conquer oneself; former can be attained by recourse to outside means, while the latter is possible only through one's own mind. The purer the mind; the easier to control it. Let a man make haste to do good, let him keep his mind from sin; If a man is slow to do good, his mind delights in sin. (Buddha). The greatest hour of triumph is the greatest hour of humility (MK Gandhi). There is no limit to man's power; power of words; power of mind. Try to forget useless things; to remember everything is to convert your mind into a dustbin. Problems are the breakfast of a great healthy mind. If one conquer a thousand battles and another conquer his mind; the latter is a greater conqueror (Buddha). The mind is everything; what you think you become. (Buddha) Some people say they are thinking; when actually they are only rearranging their prejudices. If my heart can believe it, If my mind can conceive it, then I can achieve it. (Indira Gandhi) Great crisis throws up great ideas and even greater leadership. (JFK) Mankind is divided into 3 classes - those that are immovable; those that are movable and those that actually move. When you can tell the difference between good advice and bad advice; you don't need any advice. Some are born great; some achieve greatness and on some the greatness is bestowed upon. (Dickens) A shallow thinker never leaves a deep impression. It is your duty to train and develop your mind. What soberness conceals; drunkard-ness reveals. Behavior is a mirror in which everyone shows his image. (Goethe) You are not gauged, by what you have, but what you are. Mind is its own place; in itself can make a heaven of hell or hell of heaven. (Milton). The diseases of the mind are more destructive than those of body. (Cicero). The best rule of thumb for character is to remember that if you can't be big; don't be little. If you don't have time to do it right; when will you have time to do it over. You have become a mature person when keeping a secret gives you more satisfaction than passing it along. Formula for perpetual ignorance: Be satisfied with your opinion and content with your knowledge. Make up your mind that you 'can't' and you are always right. The test of good manners is to be able to put up pleasantly with bad ones. The past can not be changed. But the future is still in your hand. The measure of your real character is what you would do if you knew you would never be found out. When ego dies soul awakes. Character is the foundation stone upon which one must build to gain respect. A man possibly will not be at peace with others unless he is at peace with himself.
The millstone and the human mind, Are turning ever 'round; If they have nothing else to grind, They must themselves be ground. (Longfellow). There is nothing noble in being superior to some other person; true nobility lies in being superior to your previous self. (Confucius). A big man is not who makes no mistakes, rather one who is bigger than any mistake he makes. Machines are almost human now because they can do things without using intelligence. Wisdom To succeed, it is necessary to accept the world as it is, and rise about it. The best place to find a helping hand is the end of your own arm. If you think you have no faults, that makes one more. People don't lack strength; They lack will. (Victor Hugo) A wise man knows everything, a shrewd man everybody. Never ask a lady her age; and a man his wage. An honest man is hurt by the praise unjustly bestowed upon him. The art of being wise is the art of knowing what to overlook. God gave burdens, also shoulders. Prudence is knowledge of what is to be sought and avoided. (St. Augustine). When the wise get angry; they lose their wisdom. Becoming wiser today isn't an unmixed blessing; it causes you to realize what a fool you were yesterday. Many persons might have attained to wisdom had they not assumed they already possessed it. It is difficult to like a person, with whom you can't find a fault. To have average intelligence is to be less stupid than half of the people and more stupid than the other half. Some people cut off their wisdom teeth first time, when they bite more than what they can chew. Be swift to hear; slow to act; slower to speak. Wisdom, which drives judgement, is a function of knowledge, experience and intelligence. If you can't be a tree be the best bush. Make hey when the sun shines. When in Rome do as the Romans do. The wise carry their knowledge as they do their watches; not for display, but their own use. Always behave like a duck; keep calm and unruffled on the surface; but paddle like the devil underneath. It is always wise to stop wishing for things long enough to enjoy the fragrance of those now flowering. To admit you have been wrong is but saying that you are wiser today than you were yesterday. Knowledge Necessity is the mother of all of inventions. Mankind's major problem today is the knowledge exceeds its wisdom. The more you know, how sure you know, how less you know. Money comes and goes; Knowledge comes and grows. Learn as if you were going to live forever. Live as if you were going to die tomorrow. Science does not make you feel afraid; rather helps you overcome the fear. The essense of science is thinking and hard work; not the labs or apparatus. Physics mean facing facts. Science is an ocean that everyone not necessarily cross; so the treatise of great scientists, provide a safe boat. You learn more than you earn, when you are in the beginning of your career. Zeal without knowledge is a runaway horse. (Chinese Proverb). If you know all, bow low. Science is a collection of successful recipes. The story of development of science is but the story of contributions of the giants, who are just a handful. Men learn while they teach. (Seneca) Intelligence is product of - numerical ability, verbal ability, spatial ability, memory, adaptability, maneuverability, spontaneity, creativity and musical ability. Four things a man must learn to do, Experience and expert A veteran is one whose 'claimed' experience adds up to more than 10 years of his age, A stalwart if it exceeds by 15, a thespian if by 20 and an octagerian if by 30. The only way to avoid mistakes is to gain experience; The only way to gain experience is to make mistakes. An expert is one, who knows more and more about less and less, until he knows everything about absolutely nothing. A perfectionist is one who takes infinite pains, and seldom gives it to other people. If there existed market for after thought, everyone would have been filthy rich. A habit cannot be tossed out of the window; it must be coaxed down the stairs step by step. ('A bit' will remain, 'bit' will remain, 'it' will remain and 't' will remain). Experience is the name given to our mistakes. Common sense is that sense which is most uncommon. Where you stand on an issue depends on where you sit. Experience helps us to grow; accomplishments help us to mature. A shortcut is the longest distance between two points. Experience is an excellent teacher; though costs dearly. It is never too late to mend; for practice makes perfect. We were 27, inexperienced in starting, running a software business; all we had was an idea. (Hotmale; Sameer Bhatia) In trying to get our own way, we should remember that kisses are sweeter than whine. Frustration To err is human, but to screw up things you need a computer. If you could have half of your wishes you could double your trouble. The length of a progress report is inversely proportional to the amount of progress. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. If you have nothing to do, don't do it here. The trouble with good sport is that you have to lose to prove it. Most people expect more respect from other people than they give themselves. Treating your adversary with respect is giving him an advantage, to which he is not entitled. Opportunity knocks but ones; temptation leans on the doorbell. Most of the friction in life is caused by the tone of life. You can wake up people who are sleeping; but never those who are pretending to be. Temptation knocked at the door of heart and will power said no one here. You can take a horse to the water but you can't make it to drink water. One thing I can't stand is somebody still talking as I interrupt him. Melancholy is joy. It is better to starve, than beg.
